Me Myself and I
A history: Since 1998 I've had a shutter bug. I lived in the darkroom trying to figure out as many nuances in photography that I could. In high school, I shot through countless rolls of film to fill my yearbook trying to capture the best images from my experience at the time. After high school, I attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California, joining the Roundup news publication where I honed my craft and learned the ropes of the journalism world. I loved the journalism program at the Pierce College, so much so that I gave five years of my life to the program filling nearly every position, including photo editor and editor-in-chief for both their newspaper and magazine on separate occasions.
After obtaining my Associate's Degree I moved onto San Francisco, with my sights set on bigger and better. I started looking for my own adventures, hunting stories that I could tell with photographs. I started attending San Francisco State University, and joined their publication program wanting to jump head first into the world of photojournalism.
But it wasn't enough. I wanted to improve my skills, and instead of being placated to photograph whatever was given to me, I decided to take the world by the horns and started a photo a day project on Jan. 1, 2010. It is a project that I still do to this day. Before graduating in 2013, I freelanced for a number of San Francisco publications including San Francisco Weekly and The Examiner. I've been been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists with a "Mark of Excellence Award" in 2011 and "College photographer of the year" by the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association in 2012
A Present: Currently, I've moved back to Los Angeles, living the life of a freelancer. I specialize in event and portrait photography. With what I've learned in photojournalism taught me how to tackle everything in the world of photography. I'm a jack of all trades in the world of photography, if you need something shot, I can deliver. My turn-arounds for photos are fast, clean and most importantly— quality. You're not just hiring a camera on a guy, you're hiring the experience and personality that I bring to the table. An easy-going, friendly and flexibly creative photographer that is always open to suggestions and creative challenges. Together, images will be as you desire them to be.
My goal is to give you unforgettable images through any means necessary. From portraits to events, you deserve the best, and I'll go above and beyond to help fulfill your goals for your photo sessions. Capturing your moments will become my life the moment you hire me.
