Event Dates: July 21 through 24, 2016
The biggest party of the summer, San Diego Comic-Con crashed into my life again this year, after last year's fiasco. Luckily this year, I was able to acquire a badge and have the entire time shooting to my heart's content.
I did an overview and a Q&A for Myspace as well. Once I finished those tasks, I got to really soak in the atmosphere (I didn't breathe too deeply because of human funk), and immerse myself in this event that I haven't been able to really participate in for a number of years.
It was extremely organized from the last time I participated and it didn't seem as horrendously crowded as I remember. Still it took some time to go from one side of the site to the other, but all in all it was a very tolerable experience.
What made it really great though was hanging out with cosplay friends. I mixed a lot of groups up that weekend, and I wouldn't have asked for anything else to change... except maybe drop the temperature to a nice 72° instead of whatever the fuck it was.
Trip date: February 9-27, 2016
This year my dad decided to turn 60 years old. He also decided that he wanted to celebrate back in the Philippines. I had big film plans for this trip. I brought 8 rolls of film with me, 4 Fuji Velvia 50 rolls and 4 Kodak Portra 400. Plans fell through for better or worse, but I was at least able to pull off a roll of each. I've had the Kodak developed for a while, while I had to wait a few weeks for the Velvia slides to process. I ended up getting them today.
The shots below document my visits to Parañaque, Quiapo, Boracay, Indang, Santo Domingo and Intramuros in no particular order
Oh yeah! Also, I'm starting to use a new logo!
