![]() Shoot date 1-21-18 It's been a while since I posted. The past few months have been slow in terms of things I could post up easily. I'm thinking I should limit the size of the galleries I post up on here. There was a meetup after Anime Impulse, which was fashion focused. I decided to come by and take a few snaps of people I knew there. Here are the shots! ![]() Event Date: November 3, 2017 This was my first ever Blizzcon and I couldn't say anything other than how great it was. The only negative thing I could say was that I only had one day to spend there. The cosplay was next level, and the energy was so much more different than the other conventions I've been to. I hope you guys enjoy what I've captured, and if you happen to be in these images, feel free to say hi in the comments below. ![]() Event Date: October 22, 2017 This year I attended my first Twitch Con. I've heard about it before but never really made the leap to go since at the time I didn't stream. But streaming now has a larger part of my life than it did then and I decided to take the plunge and head in. Normally when I go to conventions, I end up taking photos and what not, and this con was no different. I wanted to make my first Twitchcon experience memorable so I decided to offer portraits to anyone who wanted them for free. It's crazy I know, but I wanted this con to be special and unique. I ended up taking over 600 images from the weekend, and just for the sake of making it easier for everyone, I'm posting up the photos day-by-day. Please feel free to share this on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/Twitch with anyone you recognize! More photos to come over time in different posts. On day 3, I took more time to myself and got to hang out with friends as well as take portraits. I also got to hang out with some friends and played it really low key. But that didn't stop me from getting about 150 photos in. In any case, here's the link to the Day 1 photos, the link to Day 2 photos and below are Day 3 ![]() Event Date: October 21, 2017 This year I attended my first Twitch Con. On day 2, the Cosplay contest happened, so more photos than the other days happened. There were some of the most intricate outfits I've seen, and it's great that they were able to celebrate the hard work people put into their entries. I also was able to still get a good number of fun and silly portraits of people who happened to be around. My original plan was to set up an official photo booth, only to realize that they'd still want me to pay a fee to get a booth in the expo hall. I decided on passing and doing the whole "wander around and take photos" deal like I've done in past conventions there. A couple of days prior to the event, I got one of their email blasts, saying that they were having their event at the main building of the convention center, the side that has my favorite spot to shoot at a convention. It's a spot I found back at Anime California 2015, and I swore to myself that I'd always setup there when given the chance. So the chance came and instead of ghosting outdoors, I dropped some money and got myself a ticket to steal that spot before anyone else could. Here's the result of my excitement. ![]() Event Date: June 29 through July 4, 2017 Anime Expo came and went, and while most people took part in just 4 days or less of the event, I tackled all 6 days, including Day Negative One. Overall it was a fun filled con with amazing visuals from cosplayers and the venue itself. Barring the "line hell" that occurred on Saturday, I had very little complaints about the way everything went. I kinda burned myself out on the first couple official days, leaving my July 3 and 4 a little slower than the first two, but fun was had. I had some paid shoots throughout the week, and those will be posted separately as they deserve their own posts in the future. But for now, here are some images I was able to snap during the span of the convention. |
