So my trip down to Comic-Con was a little bit of a bust. I got there later than expected, which meant that most of the events were over and people were changing out of costumes into after party outfits.
In any case, I made the best of it and found some pretty good cosplayers to photograph. 
Maybe next year I'll shoot the whole four days.

So... Anime Expo is a thing. I spent the better parts of my 4th of July weekend photographing cosplayers from around the world with my friends Flip Cassidy and Calvin Alagot. 

Labeled as "The largest anime and manga convention in North America," this 4 day event encompasses all forms of the culture, including workshops, shopping, cosplay, music, games and more. I was assigned to shoot this festival for the San Francisco Weekly, but I just had too much for them to handle. Below are 85 photographs that I saved for myself to present.
