Event Date: September 24, 2016
So at Anime Expo, I set up a giant beast of a booth and I never knew when I'd be able to do so again. Fast forward a few weeks and I hear about a convention called Nerdbot. It's a bit of a ways so I figure I take my chances and ask if I could set up a photo booth there— you know, all legit and stuff.
And what do you know, they said sure!
I'm all excited and figure why not do a full on studio with Profoto lighting gear and a backdrop to shoot against.
Needless to say it was a giant success in terms of foot-traffic and overall photos taken.
I didn't get to see much of the con itself but from who I saw come into the space, everyone was happy and having a great time.
But I know you didn't come here for my silly anecdotes. You came for photos <3 So here you go!
Cosplay Gallery: Long Beach Comic Con. Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Long Beach, California.
Event Dates: September 17 and 18, 2016
So I found myself back in Long Beach again.
This time I ended up covering Long Beach Comic Con, a convention I opted out of last year. I'm really starting to like this venue, with it's unique settings and what not.
Definitely could have gone without buying a badge as I stayed outdoors the majority of the time. Good to know for next year.
I got to play with my new Lensbaby Spark along with a bunch of atmosphere cans to— well— I guess to add atmosphere.
I'm happy with a lot of the 208 photos taken and I hope you're happy with them as well.
There's so much I'm excited to accomplish by the end of this year in the world of cosplay photography.
Cosplay Gallery: Anime California. Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Long Beach, California.
Event Dates: September 2 through 4, 2016
Anime California rolled through this past week. It was one of the smaller conventions that I've been to, but it definitely had some big moments.
I met so many new people in the cosplay scene since all the major names were off at DragonCon in Atlanta and PAX up in Seattle. This con is where the locals got to shine.
That's kinda what I really liked about it. I made new friends, kept old ones closer and most beneficial, I think I found my spot at the convention center to station up for future cons.
In any case nobody is here to read stuff, also I'm still a bit burned out from this week. so here are pictures!
